Saturday, January 14: 2017 Triple Tree Frosty Dog Electric - RC Event at the Triple Tree Aerodrome located between the towns of Woodruff and Enoree, SC, on Mary Hanna Road, Woodruff, SC 29388 (SC00). Triple Tree Aviators would like to invite all RC pilots to come out Saturday January 14, 2017 to fly electric aircraft.  Join us for the coldest flying day of the year and bring any type of electric aircraft. Registration is $15. AMA required. Just show up and fly. 72 MHz ok. With all the new RC stuff you got for Christmas bring something old to sell. Please, no camping, this is a one day event 8:30 to 6:30.
   
Lunch will be at 1:00 in the hangar (gas heat) rain or shine and include Frosty Dogs, Kirby Fries, Baked Beans, and Little Debbie’s.  Adults $10, 12 and under $5
  
All 6 flight lines are open for this event. Most people are at the Main and 3D.  The amount of swap shop items has also been growing each year-no charge.  So come out and join in the fun.

Saturday, January 14: 1st 2nd Saturday Aviation Program & Breakfast -- EAA 690  Gwinnett County's Briscoe Field, Lawrenceville, Georgia (KLZU). This Saturday, January 14, EAA Chapter 690 located at Gwinnett’s Briscoe Field will host Mr. Hugh Colton for the RESCHEDULED January Aviation Program and Pancake Breakfast. Colton, an avid soaring pilot will be doing a presentation on his recent trip to soar in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the “Alps of New Zealand” through Hugh's photography and commentary.

Sunday, January 15: Metter EAA Chapter 1573 "Bloomin' Barnstormers" “TAILDRAGGIN’ POTLUCK” The next meeting of the Metter EAA Chapter 1573 is Sunday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m.  Bill Kaht will provide a presentation on aircraft “nose art”. Learn the history and see some very interesting and colorful adaptions of creative applications of aircraft paint. Bring your appetite. Bring a guest. Those who wish to contribute a “white elephant” item to our fundraiser, please dig through those “dirty Santa” gifts you may have received that are not your cup of tea and bring them with you. Saturday, February 4: 2017 Triple Tree Chilly Chili Fly-In and Lunch at the Triple Tree Aerodrome located between the towns of Woodruff and Enoree, SC, on Mary Hanna Road, Woodruff, SC 29388 (SC00). Triple Tree Aviators would like to invite all aircraft and their pilots to come out Saturday February 4, 2017 for our third annual Chilly Chili Fly-In and Lunch.  Join us for lunch on the coldest flying day of the year and land on our 7000’ x 400’ grass strip. You must purchase lunch tickets online no later than Friday February 3, 2017 7:00 P.M. www.tripletreeaerodrome.com   Drive ins are welcome.  Please, no camping, this is a one day event, 9:00am till 5:00 pm Lunch will be at 12:30 in the hangar (gas heat) rain or shine and includes:  Homemade Chili, Fresh Bread, Cheese, Jalapenos, Corn Chips and dessert.  Adults $20, 12 and under $10.  All proceeds go to Triple Tree Aerodrome. No landing fees or spectator fees

In the interest of keeping it simple when you land, please park on the east side of the runway in a single row. There will be a shuttle bus to pick you up and take you to the hangar and patio for lunch. Fuel will not be available.
Parking will begin south of the termination point of the white fence. There will be ground personnel to assist with parking and a shuttle bus to pick you up. Come on, you know that beautiful aircraft needs to get the oil circulating!

Saturday, February 4: 1st Saturday Aviation Program & Breakfast -- EAA 690  Gwinnett County's Briscoe Field, Lawrenceville, Georgia (KLZU). EAA Chapter 690, located at Lawrenceville’s Briscoe Field. This Saturday, February 4, EAA Chapter 690 located at Gwinnett’s Briscoe Field will host Dale Hartsfield for the January Aviation Program and Pancake Breakfast. In 2003, Mr. Hartsfield was the family spokesman for the Hartsfield family when the City of Atlanta renamed the airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He will express his views and his perspective on the succession of names of the “world’s busiest airport."

Fly-In and Float the Ohoopee CANCELLED due to the river water level being too low for a successful float. The event will be rescheduled for the fall.  The 3rd Annual Fly-In and Float the Ohoopee River is happening today, sponsored at the Swinton-Smith field at the Reidsville Municipal Airport (KRVJ) Reidsville, Georgia.  We will have a shuttle to the river and an outfitter with a supply of kayaks available.  The shuttles will leave from the airport at 1:30 pm for the 1 mile trip to the river.  After the leisurely 2 - 3 hour float, the shuttles will bring everyone back to the airport for hamburgers, hot dogs and delicious fried Vidalia sweet onion rings. Saturday, June 10: 2017 Fabric & Tailwheel Lunch at the Triple Tree Aerodrome located between the towns of Woodruff and Enoree, SC, on Mary Hanna Road, Woodruff, SC 29388 (SC00).  Triple Tree Aviators would like to invite all Fabric covered and Tailwheel aircraft and their pilots to come out Saturday June 10th, 2017 for our fourth annual all Fabric and Tailwheel Fly-In and Lunch.  Join us for lunch and land on our 7000’ x 400’ grass strip. Drive ins are welcome.  Please, no camping, this is a one day event, sunup till sundown.
 
Lunch will be Saturday at 12:30 on the hangar patio rain or shine and include:  Pork Loin cooked on the rotisserie, baked potatoes, salad and dessert.  Adults $20, 12 and under $10. There are no landing or spectator fees for this event. The lunch ticket covers everything, except your fuel to get here and back home. All proceeds go to Triple Tree Aerodrome.
 
In the interest of keeping it simple when you land, please park on the east side of the runway in a single row. There will be a shuttle bus to pick you up and take you to the hangar and patio for lunch. Fuel will not be available.

Saturday, September 16: EAA 172 Wrens Fall Fly-in. At the beautiful Wrens Memorial Airport (65J) CTAF 122.7. Though the main activities are on Saturday, you may come earlier in the week if you wish. Please call or e-mail (see below) if you are coming early, and when, so the power and/or water can be set up for you. On Saturday there will be food vendors on the field. Packing-up day on Sunday. Pattern for the asphalt, main, runway, is left-hand pattern for runway 29 and right-hand for runway 11 at 1450' MSL (1000 ft AGL) unless flying an ultralight or  rotorcraft which should use 950' MSL (500' AGL). EAA 172 --- RV -14 presentation meeting  starting around 10:30 AM at Augusta Aviation at Daniel Field, Augusta, Georgia. This will be in the second floor portion of the Augusta Aviation FBO at the Daniel Field Airport (DNL). We will have coffee & pastries. Then, at approximately 11:00 AM, the builders of the RV-14 will begin their presentation. Afterwards, further presentation will be continued on the Augusta Aviation ramp with the RV-14s as a static display with the builders pointing out any distinct features they designed and/or built. Then the members and guests are scheduled to eat lunch at the Village Deli restaurant across Wrightsboro Road from Daniel Field. Augusta Aviation personnel told us that there is no auto parking fee. Saturday, December 9: Allendale County Airport Reindeer Roundup (Fly In) The Allendale County Airport will be hosting a Christmas Fly-In from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Come join us for our Reindeer Roundup and Holly Jolly Gift Exchange. We will be serving Santa Soup (chili) and Elf Treats (sweets). Bring a wrapped $10.00 gift for the Holly Jolly Gift Exchange. If you haven’t heard of this, we draw numbers and the first person chooses a gift, then the second person chooses a gift. The second person can keep their gift or trade it for the first person’s gift. This keeps going until all gifts are given out and everyone has something. Holly Jolly exchange will start at 12:30 pm.
